Original frame with artist's signature on the bottom right depicting the famous view from Chapter Square of the Neptune Fountain with the Hohensalzburg Castle in the background.
Upon doing research, the artist's name appears to be Josef Felsinger. I examined many of his works and compared his signature and this is the best I could assume. Josef Felsinger, born in Vienna in 1908, grew up in Hallein and was a professional painter and graphic artist. He died in Salzburg in 1972.
In beautiful shape for its age. The matting shows discoloration due to age and there is a wire hanger on the back to hang it on the wall.
On the bottom left, it is written, "Salzburg- Pferdeschwemme am Kapitelplatz."
