The frame is solid wood with plaster. There are multiple areas where the plaster has cracked or the wood has chipped due to age. The imperfections make this piece even more beautiful.
There are no chips or cracks to the beveled mirror. No hanger is present on the back but one can be added. This works well tilted against a wall horizontal or vertical.
It truly is a show stopper. Louis XV style. Circa mid 19th century.
