It looks like her head broke off at one time and was repaired. There is a fainted crack around her neck. This piece is marked on the bottom, "Evangeline Statue, St. Martinsville, LA." Evangeline is depicted in a fictional story as a faithful women who vowed to find her true love, Gabriel. When she found him, he had already married and moved on. She represents a symbol of the Deportation and the preserverance of the Acadian people.
