The bottom has written, “Heidelberg, Blick Vom Philosophenweg” which means “Heidelberg, Philosopher’s Walk.” An area enjoyed by many philosophers and professors who enjoyed the path for its solitude, natural beauty, and beautiful view of the city.
This is a framed lithograph print by artist, Maurice Legendre that was sold in Germany as a tourist souvenir. The back has a sticker from the location in German where the piece was framed.
There are a few imperfections in the original frame but it’s still stable and has a hanger in the back to adhere it to the wall.
