Made of solid copper with aged patina. This can be polished if you choose to but I left it in its original state.
The music box is underneath the bottom base and is in working condition. It plays the tune "Daring Young Men In Those Flying Machines" in a slow manner. The music box is stamped "Sankyo, Japan."
Simply spin the knob on the top of the globe and the globe spins appearing like the airplane is flying around.
